Lessons Learned:
- Learn to slip, duck, and roll without moving the feet too much. Get back into stance quickly. Get get caught out of position.
- Slip to the side of your last punch.
- Need to keep elbow tighter (it will come in handy for blocking body shots)
- The left cross feels awkward. I’ll need to drill it some more on the heavy bag.
- Movement. Alway move. Always in motion. - sometimes I forget this as I’m trying to grasp new concepts or combos but it’s important to keep moving and not get caught flat-footed.
QL Challenge:
- Left side QL muscle went into full spasm during the session
- Unable to properly sit down into punches due to lower back pain
- I think it even affected my breathing
- Had to adjust the workout to avoid aggravating the back
- Drive home was hell!

I was also unable to do some drills properly and had to adjust the workout to avoid aggravating my back. The drive home was hell, and I felt like I was wasting my trainer’s time. Though, he reminded me that we still came out of the session learning something
