Lessons Learned:

  1. Learn to slip, duck, and roll without moving the feet too much. Get back into stance quickly. Get get caught out of position.
  2. Slip to the side of your last punch.
  3. Need to keep elbow tighter (it will come in handy for blocking body shots)
  4. The left cross feels awkward. I’ll need to drill it some more on the heavy bag.
  5. Movement. Alway move. Always in motion. - sometimes I forget this as I’m trying to grasp new concepts or combos but it’s important to keep moving and not get caught flat-footed.

QL Challenge:

  • Left side QL muscle went into full spasm during the session
  • Unable to properly sit down into punches due to lower back pain
  • I think it even affected my breathing
  • Had to adjust the workout to avoid aggravating the back
  • Drive home was hell!
